Dr. Michael Udoh-Aka Eshiett, M.D., FRCP.

Dr. Michael Udoh-Aka Eshiett was born at Ukana Ikot Ideh, Essien Udim LGA in Nigeria. He had his early education at the County Council School, Ukana Ikot Ideh, Central Annang Secondary School, Nto Nsek and Holy Family College, Abak, during the Nigerian civil war. He then studied Medicine at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and completed his internship training at St. Luke’s hospital, Anua, Uyo, before undertaking his National Youth Service at St Camillus hospital, Uromi, Edo State.

He served briefly as a Medical Officer at Qua Ibo Mission hospital, Etinan, before proceeding to the United Kingdom for his specialist training in General Internal Medicine, Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine, specialising in Stroke medicine, Movement Disorders, Complex Neurological Disabilities, including brain and spinal cord injuries and Rehabilitation. He studied at various medical institutions in the UK, including the, Edinburgh Post-graduate School for Medicine, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and Institute of Neurology, Queens Square, London. He holds a few post-graduate qualifications in Medicine, Neurosciences and Management.

He is a senior Consultant Physician and Neurologist, Lead Clinician in Long-term Neurological Conditions in two National Health Service Hospital Trusts in Greater Manchester, a Fellow of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of London and Ireland, an undergraduate and post-graduate medical examiner to the University of Manchester and Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, respectively. He has a few peer reviewed publications in his specialties and is listed in ‘Marquis Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare’. He also holds an LLB (Hons) Degree. As well as being an ordained minister of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World, he is also, a student of the Lemurian Philosophy.
