Unyierie Idem-Agozino, Ph.D.

Unyierie Angela Idem-Agozino is  a native of Ikot Akpa Nkuk in Ukanafun Local Government Area. She had her secondary education at Federal Government Girls’ College, Bakori in Katsina State. She  later studied French at the University of Calabar from where she obtained B.A. (Honours) and M.A. degrees. She worked at the French Language Centre, Calabar and Uyo, before pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Applied Linguistics at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. On her return to Nigeria, she taught at the University of Uyo. She now resides in the USA and is  co-editor of The Orthography of Anaang (2001).
